Today I’m going to read you in Russian the classic Russian short story – The Little Sparrow by Maxim Gorky. This story is now in the Public Domain.
I’ve added the English transliteration and Russian subtitles to the video. I hope this will help Russian language learners feel the rhythm, stress and intonation of this beautiful language, and also to practice pronunciation. Read with me and sound like a native Russian speaker!

P.S. In this video, I called the author of the story Aleksey Maksimovich Gorky because in my book the author’s name is written exactly that way – the real name of the writer Aleksey Maximovich Peshkov was combined with his famous pseudonym Maxim Gorky.
