Just finished reading And Quiet Flows the Don (Tikhiy Don #1-4) by Mikhail Sholokhov (in Russian).
I’m speechless!
This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Deeply sad, touchingly honest. Very well written and hard to read at times… A true masterpiece of Russian literature!
