How to Read Literature Like a Professor: A Lively and Entertaining Guide to Reading Between the Lines by Thomas C. Foster 🇺🇲

A good book worth reading. I’m glad I was able to find it right now.
Also the reading list, it’s really great! I’ve found Reading Like a Writer… by Francine Prose, and going to read it soon.

Some interesting phrases/words from this book:
🇺🇲 (En) 👉👉👉 🇷🇺 (Ru)

🔹 be all wet – сильно заблуждаться, крупно ошибаться (Sometimes we’re right, sometimes we’re all wet.)
🔹 milquetoast – робкий, застенчивый человек; мужчина, не имеющий своего мнения; мямля, тряпка (… the milquetoast)

Characters are products of writers’ imaginations – and readers’ imaginations. Two powerful forces come together to make a literary character.
