Óscar, agente secreto by Carmen Kurtz 🇪🇦

Книжки на испанском читаются потихоньку. Только что закончила Óscar, agente secreto (Óscar #9) de Carmen Kurtz. Из всего того небольшого количества испанских книг, которые попали ко мне в руки в 2022 году, эта понравилась больше всего.
Когда-то давно у этого же автора я читала «Цвет огня» (Color de fuego de Carmen Kurtz). Вот то был шедевр! Первая моя первая книга на испанском, над которой я плакала (да что там плакала – ревела в голос).
Книга про Оскара, по моему скромному мнению, несколько слабее.
Простая история, детская, наивная. Но вместе с тем довольно интересная и динамичная. И главное – легко понимаемая. Что может быть лучше для изучения языка?
Плюс, у автора «Оскара» Кармен Курц большой словарный запас и замечательный слог. Было где приостановиться, над чем подумать, и что выписать:

así y todo = несмотря на, тем не менее (… pero así y todo aquellos individuos resultaban estupendos…)
paperas = эпидемический паротит = свинка (Vitín… tiene paperas.)
conocer al dedillo = знать как свои пять пальцев (… parecía conocer al dedillo la ruta.)
pordiosear = просить милостыню, побираться = христарадничать (Siempre pordiosean.)
estar pez = не знать, ничего не смыслить (La verdad era que en cuestión de idiomas estaba pez.)
castañear = стучать зубами (… dijo castañeteando de dientes.)
beber a morro = пить из горла (… cogió una botella y bebió a morro.)
ser coser y cantar = проще простого (“No creas que va a ser coser y cantar”)
silenciador = глушитель (… una pistola con silenciador…)

И еще узнала одну любопытную испанскую пословицу:
El diablo sabe más por viejo que por diablo = старого воробья на мякине не проведешь. (Досл. дьявол знает больше потому, что старый, а не потому, что он дьявол).

Aprende gramática y vocabulario – 2

Just finished reading & studying Aprende gramática y vocabulario 2 by Francisca Castro Viúdez and Pilar Díaz Ballesteros.
It took me nearly eight months to finish the book. But as I always say, it doesn’t matter how long it takes me to read a book. The main thing is what I can learn from it.
I really liked this Spanish grammar book series – Aprende gramática y vocabulario. It has clear explanations on many topics such as verb conjugations, the use of prepositions, and more.
There are actually four books in the series. I’ve already read the first two books, and I’m going to read the other two soon.

The most difficult aspects of Spanish grammar for me to master are still:
1) Pretérito perfecto vs. Pretérito indefinido
2) Imperativo afirmativo and imperativo negative
3) Gerundio
4) El Subjuntivo
Plus, I have some problems with the use of los pronombres de objeto indirecto.

So, there’s a lot of work ahead. But I really love it. I love the challenge!

Some interesting words I found in the book:

🔹 atasco = traffic jam (…había un bien atasco en la carretera);
🔹 ahorrar dinero = save money (Este año no hemos ahorrado nada de dinero);
🔹 Gelocatil = paracetamol (Si te duele la cabeza, toma un Gelocatil);
🔹 mus = a card game widely played in Spain and other countries (Nunca habían jugado al mus);
🔹 caspa = dandruff (|No se preocupe por la caspa, lávese el pelo con este champú…);
🔹 olla = a cooking pot;
🔹 tetra-brik = Tetra Brik = a brand name for a carton package produced by the Swedish company Tetra Pak (Un tetra-brik de leche).

Superchería by Leopoldo Alas “Clarín” (book in Spanish)

Terminé de leer el libro Superchería de Leopoldo Alas “Clarín” en Español.

Estuve leyendo este libro durante más de un mes. Era una novela corta, pero fue muy dificil leerla para mi. En el libro había muchas palabras desconocidas, oraciones largas que eran muy complejas, y tenía que usar mi diccionario casi todo el tiempo.

Pero al mismo tiempo este libro estaba escrito de manera tan hermosa, que no me importó que tuviera que buscar tantas palabras desconocidas en el diccionario. Simplemente disfruté el lenguaje maravilloso y el estilo del escritor Leopoldo Alas “Clarín” que sabía manejar las palabras tan bellamente y con mucha precision.

También en este libro encontré muchas palabras y expresiónes que me resultaron muy interesantes (a mi, a la Rusa) y me gustaría compartirlas con ustedes:
🇪🇦 (Es) 👉👉👉 🇷🇺 (Ru)

🔹 sobre manera (sobremanera) = чрезмерно, чрезвычайно (“…me impresionó sobre manera.”);
🔹 letra bastardilla = курсив (“… y en letra bastardilla estaban escritas…”);
🔹 naufragio = кораблекрушение (…como dos compañeros de naufragio…);
🔹 Santo Tomás = святой Фома, Фома неверующий (…aquel Santo Tomás del hipnotismo…”);
🔹 como Pedro por su casa = быть (вести себя) как у себя дома (…como Pedro en su casa se fue acercando, entre codazos discretos, al grupo de hombres…);
🔹 sacamuelas = болтун, шарлатан, мастер заговаривать зубы;
🔹 sabihondo = всезнайка (…si se le presentaba occasion, haría cualquer tontería para dejar corrido al sacamuelas elegante y sabihondo.);
🔹 as de oros = бубновый туз;
🔹 sexo fuerte = сильный пол (También el sexo fuerte tuvo que…);
🔹 para sus adentros = про себя, мысленно (“Caterina Porena”, pensó, hablándose en voz alta para sus adentros);
🔹 a tientas = на ощупь (A tientas llegó a la Puerta de la Academia vieja…);
🔹 quieras que no quieras = хочешь-не хочешь, волей-неволей (Ello fue que una hora después Nicolás Serrano, quieras que no quieras, era presentado en la recepción del alcalde prodigioso…);
🔹 por sistema = систематически постоянно (Aunque por sistema huía Serrano, mucho tiempo hacía, de toda clase de exaltaciones ideales…);
🔹 ver el cielo abierto = увидеть свет (в конце туннеля), возможность получить желаемое, выбраться из тупика (…Mijares vio el cielo abierto, y dio un abrazo al italiano, llamándole compañero, querido compañero.)

Y por ultimo mi frase favorita: “…siempre que la curiosidad me acerque a un objeto del cual deseo saber algo, que ofrece posibles consecuencias provechosas…, mi obligación es oír la voz de la curiosidad.” ❤️
