The Scarlet Pimpernel (TV series 1999–2000)

I’ve just finished watching the BBC’s Scarlet Pimpernel series, all six of them: “The Scarlet Pimpernel”, “Valentin Gautier”, “The King’s Ransom”, “Ennui”, “Friends and Enemies”, “A Good Name”.

I love the actors playing Percy, Chauvlin, Robespierre and Marguerite! I absolutely love them!
# Richard E. Grant is a great actor! He has the best smile I have ever seen – radiant and heartwarming.
# Elizabeth McGovern is a very good actress too. The great thing is that Elizabeth McGovern and Richard Grant have more chemistry than the pair of Jane Seymour and Anthony Andrews, who played in the other version of the Scarlet Pimpernel (1982).
# Robespierre was played by Ronan Vibert and I have to admit I knew nothing about this actor before but I enjoyed watching how he played, especially when he was fighting for his daughter.
# Martin Shaw as Paul Chauvelin …. OMG, I love this Chauvelin!
He’s wonderful, isn’t he?

Two Movies – P.S. I Love You and The X-Files: I Want to Believe

1)  I saw last night “P.S. I Love You” at last. This movie was a disappointment; it wasn’t as good as I expected. The film starts perfectly but then became long, boring and awkward.

P.S. I Love You is based on a novel which I heard was really good… But after seeing the movie I am a bit skeptical about the book, seriously…

2)  A-a-nd this night I just got back from seeing “The X-Files: I Want to Believe”. Honestly, this was a good film. I’ll even go to say a great film. There was enough action and suspense to keep the story moving, and everyone in the cinema seemed to enjoy it. I am highly impressed by how authentic Duchovny and Anderson were in their roles as if it had only been yesterday when they last worked together. The magic between Mulder and Scully was breathtaking, I couldn’t help but smile during the film during their intimate moments. When I left the cinema, all I wanted to do was go home and watch more episodes of the old X-Files TV show.

Most fans of this movie will love it but if you do not enjoy “The X-Files”, I think you will not enjoy “I Want to Believe”.

Nevertheless, it is a very good movie. In fact, it is one of the best new releases I’ve seen this year!

Trying to write in English for the first time

It was a wonderful trip!

Me and my husband just returned from Ekaterinburg. Ekaterinburg is one of the biggest cities in Russia. It is situated on the border of the Europe and Asia, in the very middle of the Urals.
This is the 1st time we have traveled by plan. We flew from Domodedovo (Moscow) to Koltsovo (Ekaterinburg) with Transaero. Transaero is the first Russian private airline. I remembered most of all a lift-off moment and sensation of motion. The plan has amazing speed! I enjoyed it enormously and I want to fly again!
It was a wonderful trip! The weather was fine, the scenery was breathtaking and people (locals) were kind-hearted and so amiable. It made our trip very interesting and enjoyable.

Because of busy schedule we were not able to walk around the town much time but tried to take as many photos as possible. Mayby I’ll post them sometime.
